Just A Little… Hangry?

I was super pumped to head to power yoga tonight, but the class did not go as well as I had hoped.  I ended up getting there right on time, which meant I had to put my mat in a corner with the dude’s mat behind me slightly overlapping.  Sigh.  I am not a short person, so I have a longer mat and there’s also the issue of long limbs.  Needless to say, I couldn’t fully immerse myself in all of the poses.  I did sweat a lot, and was happy I did something, but next time I am leaving WAY early.  There was also a dude slightly behind me that was grunting and making the most awkward faces.  Er….  Yoga (even vinyasa style) is supposed to be peaceful!  This isn’t weight class!

I left feeling pretty frazzled and slightly gloomy.  I know it doesn’t make sense, but I tend to get down a little after a bad workout than feeling the endorphin rush.  Thankfully, the good workouts far outnumber the bad ones.

Ok, enough Debbie Downer crap!

When I got home from work, I was totally excited to make Julie’s recipe for Peanut Butter GranolaCourtney was raving about the recipe, and generally when Miss C gets excited, it’s for a good (and tasty) reason!  I didn’t need to head to the store as I had all the needed ingredients right here.

I followed the recipe exactly, only I made twice the amount so I had plenty to last me through the week.  :)

The whole kitchen smelled of PB goodness.  I will admit, a few clusters did not make it into the jar I saved to put them in.

Yum!  The bf is going to love this.  Peanut butter is one of his favorite things on the planet.

Following my crankypants yoga session, I came home, showered, did laundry, and did not feel like doing anything extravagant for dinner.  I decided to heat up a simple can of chicken noodle soup and pair it with a beer to help ease my moodiness.

Peche goes well with a frosty mug.  :)

I will admit, I am feeling a lot better now.  Perhaps I was just a little hangry going into tonight’s session.

Have you ever had a class go not as well as you hoped?

  1. That granola looks so good! I wanted to make it when I first saw it on Julie’s blog and then Courtney posted it and now you. I need to make it too! I love peanut butter! ;)

I hope you are feeling better girl!

  2. Sucks about the yoga experience! But looks like the granola & beer made up for it :)

  3. Yoga classes are so hit and miss to me. I’m really picky about instructors.

  4. I’ve come to realize I’m really picky about my yoga classes. Whenever I go to try a new studio, I’m never satisfied. I guess I know what I like!

  5. When I usto to take a circut class I would get so upset if I ended up stuck in the corner barely being able to move, it sucked!! From then on, I would always make sure to set my things up 20 minutes prior to the class so I could get a good spot.
Everyone is trying this PB granola, I have to give it a go!!
