Taste of Tennessee
A few weeks ago, Anastasia from Working Out & Eating In tweeted about doing a Farmers’ Market Swap and I thought it was a great idea! We exchanged a few emails, set a price of $20 for us to spend, and gave each other our mailing addresses. I was really excited to head to my local market and pick out some goodies to send her, her hubs, and their adorable dog Pepper. If you’d like to see what I sent her, you can check her What I Ate Wednesday post here. I was happy to hear she, Greg, and Pepper have been enjoying the goodies so far! When I got home yesterday, Anastasia’s package had arrived all the way from Tennessee! Here’s what she sent me:
Holy hot sauce! Scott loves hot sauce, so I will have to find a good recipe to use this with. I’m a little scared as some spicy stuff can get me good, but I will be brave and tackle the Tennessee Mountain Green.
Granola! With walnuts! I just stocked up on yogurt and you can bet I’ll be mixing this in.
Strawberries are my favorite fruit ever, so anything involving them is pretty much a win with me.
SOooo excited about this one! It took a lot of willpower not to open and eat everything right out of the jars (minus the habanero sauce, I’m crazy, but not that crazy). I did grab a few clusters of the granola. This is what I thought of it…
Loooove granola! This was a ton of fun and I cannot wait to try the rest of the stuff Anastasia sent me. She also included the cutest card (she has way better handwriting than me!) and I’m hoping this will not be the last time we swap local goodies.
After showing off all the stuff I got to Scott, we made our way to the gym for some cross-training.
- 20 min Arc Trainer, Interval Mode Level 5 (this was HARD)
- Hammer curls
- Barbell skullcrushers
- Cable machine rope curls
- Assisted dip machine (Scott did real dips)
- Captain’s chair leg raises
- Back & side bends
Felt really good. I love working out like a guy.
Do you visit a local farmer’s market? Have you ever done a food swap?
