Goji Berries Review

Long ago and far away, I agreed to do some product reviews for Swanson Vitamins.  I picked out three items to review and one was already done.  I’m now finally reviewing the second item I received.

I’ve seen a lot of buzz about goji berries, and decided to try the ones offered by Swanson.  You can check all the product info here.  Honestly?  I was expecting these to be a bit sweeter than they are.  I’ve tried them a few times and I’m just not huge on the flavor.  It’s not bad and I’m not sure why I’m not in love with these.  Scott, however, discovered them and has cleaned out almost half the bag (as you can see from the pic).  He really enjoyed mixing them into his Fiber One cereal bowl.  I may try to bake them into a batch of cookies and see how that works out.  If you’re into semi-sweet/tart dried fruit, give these a whirl!

Are you interested in getting some free Swanson Health Products goodies to review on your own blog? Then check out the Swanson Health Blog for all the details.

I’m off to go do some #fitblog chatting!

Do you like goji berries?  Recommendations on what to do with them before Scott eats them all?

  1. I don’t like gogi berries straight up but I do like them in granola bars or cookies. I mean they still wouldn’t be my first choice but I can tolerate them like that.

  2. Goji berries are filled with so many antioxidants! When I first started to eat them, they tasted very earthy to me and I wasn’t a huge fan. I kept eating them though because I knew they were good for me. They best way to eat them…. like chocolate covered raisins! Melt chocolate (I used dark) and toss them in it. Then freeze. So good!

  3. I heard of them and have seen them in stores before but haven’t purchased them just yet….They LOOK like they’d be tasty! And thanks for the reminder–I still have left over money to use for something to review for Swanson. Oops!
