Good Intentions

Yesterday I made a list.  A list I planned to carry out.

If you haven’t heard, Instagram is now available for Android.  Happy day!

A list that clearly by the title and wording of the post so far didn’t get fully completed.  I did get some stuff done.  Such as the assay?  That was cancelled which to me = done (and yes, I work with some unpleasant biological fluids at times).  And, I sent out that email with a positive response back.  Essentially, anything work related got completed.  From the “personal” column, I read about four pages of a magazine, and I manage to spend $140 at the grocery store to check something off from the “home”.  I skipped the run to give my muscles one last day to heal (I am now realizing running might be more personal than home, oh well).  It’s a good thing I can’t even commit to being a perfectionist, or else this incomplete to-do list would be giving me a lot of anxiety right now.  I am notorious for making to do lists and then NEVER finishing them.  No idea why it doesn’t bother me.  At least I tried?

The extra rest day turned out beneficial as now I don’t have any weird hobbling motions when I walk and the soreness is 99.9% gone.  I don’t think it’s the end of the world, but I do have full intentions to get my run tomorrow complete.  Today?  Today I have yoga!  I am beyond excited to return to HotBox Yoga!  As I mentioned, it’s been ages since I was last there and I cannot wait to sweat my face off this evening.  I always leave that place feeling amazing, and I also start longing to be living in the city again.  Then I remember how awful it was to drive on I-76 for work and am glad the burbs are a little bit less crazy.  At least the Main Line is still mostly city-like.  ;)

I don’t really have much else to add, so I’ll close with a pic of Sheila.  Because she’s just so damn cute.  KITTY!

  1. I make lists like this too and never even take them out of my purse until the end of the night. I wish I could bring myself to care, but I just don’t. I should just stop trying.

I like how you drew cat ears next to the word “kitties” on your list.

    • Good to know I’m not alone. ;) I will usually find a week’s worth of random lists when I empty my purse on the weekends. I guess it’s one of those things that you feel you should do to improve organization and then just doesn’t end up working.

      ^_^ KITTY!

  2. I always make to-do lists. It’s the only way I can remember things anymore. :) I really need to try yoga for relaxation. I think it would be a good way to relieve stress.

Shelia is so cute! Love the kitty!

    • I adore yoga. I have not left a session and not felt happy. The drop in rate is only 14 bucks! Maybe you can come with me to a basics class some time! :D

  3. hi sheila! oh girl, i used to have to work with poo, pee, blood, bronch lavage etc. my very first foray in the real world of science was a clinical lab in the hospital at hershey med center! gross. i’ll stick to cells now kthx. :) i’m a compulsive list maker, i love striking things through! i did see now you can join the partay on instagram :) it’s where all the cool kids are hanging now ha

    • 90% of the stuff I work with is blood or plasma (thankfully). I’ve obviously worked with urine, but also liver, brain, kidney, and tumor homogenate. Yummy! ;-) We need to hang out again!

  4. I always make lists of things to do, and when I ultimately end up ignoring it, I just change the list to show only the things I did do. It makes me feel like I accomplished something, even when I didn’t.
