I’m going to go a little out of my usual context and be a little self-indulgent for once. Not that blogging about my life isn’t already a bit, but I just have to say thanks to a certain blog friend (Janine, btw she is awesome, as is her blog, but she loves beer so I might be biased…), I have found something that did WONDERS for my self esteem the other day, and my boobs.
I’m talking about the retro-style bikini top from Victoria’s Secret. Now, I don’t think I’ve been entirely shy about the fact I was blessed with an ample bosom (and cursed with no ass, thanks genetics). I have somewhat of a hard time with bathing suits in that I always have to order separates and the tops are never quite as supportive as I read they should be. But this top, my friends, not only supports me, but uplifts the girls to epic proportions. I don’t really need a push-up, and should probably remove the cups, but honestly, I don’t want to after seeing myself look like this:
Holy crapola, batman. (Sorry for the crappy quality, camera phone) I bought the bottoms from Rue La La and sadly the top I selected oversold. The upside is I now have a lovely $10 credit sitting in my account (thanks Rue!) and decided to keep the bottoms and find a new top. After seeing Janine rocking hers, I had to get one for myself and this is the end result. I dig it. ;)
Carrying on with this theme of keeping the girls up and secure, I’d like to turn your attention to the wonderful bras of Moving Comfort. I’m sure this brand isn’t that new to people, but after owning seven of their bras (4 Fiona, 1 Vero, 1 Rebound Racer, and 1 Chill Out) and alternating through them on the regular, I never, EVER have any pain or over-bouncing when doing any kind of sport activity (that ranges from running, to the gym, to soccer). They are currently having a big sale on a lot of their bras (usually priced between $40-$60, now a lot under $30). I’d be lying if I don’t have a window open right now scoping out some to add to my collection. I look at sports bras the same way I do my bed, spending the money is worth it. I dropped a pretty penny on the place where I spend the most of my time outside of work to ensure I sleep well. Now, why not spend the money on a feature (large OR small) that is important to protect and will ensure less pain and discomfort so you can further enjoy your fitness regimen? It’s a no brainer for me.
I’ll be rocking that bikini tomorrow at my friend’s parents’ place for their 60-30-60 bash (both ‘rents turned 60 and she hit 30 in May). And I won’t forget my sunscreen, promise! I’m heading down the DE beaches bright and early tomorrow morning and I am antsy pantsy as ever!
Tell me your weekend plans, everyone. GO!

Is it weird to say that I want your boobs? Or at least, just some of them?
Not at all. My sisters all say the same thing. I took them all for myself, mwahaha!
gah I am so jealous. I’m the opposite- junk in the trunk and very little up top. A full B on a good day. Sigh.
I’m the T to your A?
LOL – I have the rear end but not the chest
I got the good boobs and the flat ass too! I’ve always wanted to take the extra boobage and implant it down back.
Looove the retro top – thanks for the shout out!!! I swear, it makes the girls look fab – I love wearing mine! This weekend is 30th birthday parties, dinner with my bro and the Color Me Rad 5k boston!
Majorly jealous of the boobs. I was blessed with. Um. Nothing. Well. Other than this long torso, but while making me look sorta long and lean, it also makes finding shirts long enough for me a total bitch.
I have the bootay but not the boobs. I’m glad I at least have one of the above
