In about 24 hours from now I will be nestled in a plane seat listening to some tunes. The plane will be heading to San Diego, and this lady has yet to pack a single thing. ACK! I’ve had a busy few days this past week. Thursday I ran the second of the Midsummer 5K series. I clocked in at 24:29! That’s a new PR! AGAIN! I was shocked considering the fact that it was hot as fricken BALLS, but hey, a PR is a PR! I actually broke top 10 in my age group which is a huge accomplishment for any races hosted by Bryn Mawr Running Co. Those peeps be crazy.
This past weekend I ventured into Delaware to see fam and attend my friend’s co-birthday party with her parents. Many beers were consumed, there was swimming, a dance party, pounds of food, and an RJ.
Doesn’t he look completely stoked to be riding in the car? He’s such a sweetie. Since I don’t have much else to post about, I’m going to continue with a montage of pet pics to entertain you all. RJ is my bff Wiz (Elizabeth) and Travis’s dog. They also have two cats:
This is Fatty.
And this is Shitty. I forget her real name, but because she misbehaves a lot Shitty Kitty is her new name. She doesn’t seem to mind.
Sunday I made my way over to mi madre’s casa where I was loaded up with a crapton of veggies from the garden she and my sister Zoe started. I chatted with my mom about my trips and how things have been going up in PA (I hadn’t been home since Christmas, wtf!) and got to spend some QT with her furry brood.
Maddie is definitely getting up there in age. Poor old girl. She’s still kickin’ it though! Look at that face!
Beau (or Bo? Never got the official spelling) is my sister’s pupper who is visiting until she gets all situated in Virginia. The fam doesn’t stop there, though. My mom swore she’d never have cats and then she got these two:
The black & white lady is Izzie, and the torti is Rumi. Both were strays my mom acquired one way or another (I think via my sisters). Rumi is definitely the more cuddle bug of the two, but Izzie’s gotten a lot better at being social. They are also full grown, not kittens. I can’t believe how tiny they are!
So anyway, pets. We love them. Clearly. Next time you’re hear from me I’ll be on the west coast, bitches! xoxo
