I’m going to start this post off with a recipe, because my brain cannot form a witty intro (do I even have any?) to save my life.
Stupidly Simple Strawberry Smoothie
- 10 whole frozen strawberries
- 1 cup of almond milk
Put strawbs in blender with milk. Blend.
Please ignore the mess that is our coffee table, it’s in the man cave.
Ta da! Stupidly simple. Scott was a fan. It didn’t make up completely for the fact I was out of ice creamy treats last night, but he was happy I took the 5 min to whip him up something.
After work today I am meeting another blog friend! Woo! I’ll be joining Miss Ali from AliGirl Cooks for a little fro-yo action at Whirled Peace in Manayunk. I need this fro-yo fix like crazy. This Tuesday is not shaping up to be my most spectacular.
Now, when meeting someone after work, especially for the first time, I generally prefer to not look like a complete mess. I normally don’t put on makeup before heading into work (shock & dismay!) mostly because I work in a lab and no one cares if I look pretty or not. This is why I keep these four essentials in my purse at all times. There’s actually a lot more in my purse (which is usually the size of a car), but these are most important when it comes to “appearance.”
Lipgloss with a slight tint of color, a tiny tube of mascara, blush stick, & body spray. The last is the most crucial of the four, because no one wants to hang out with you if you smell bad (unless you’re in a gym, and even then that’s debatable). The Blushable Creme Stick is my newest beauty purchase and it was a BIG score. It was less than 5 bucks and the stick works really well. Normally, I have to blend a lot or use quite a bit when it comes to blush sticks, but this goes on super smooth and you don’t need much to give you color. Totally in love. Now that I’ve professed this love, they will probably discontinue it like most things I gush over in the beauty world. ;)
Alrighty, now that you’re royally confused by the randomness of this post, I’m off to find something semi-edible for lunch from the caf.
