I made a quick run to Super Fresh this morning to acquire an item to fix a recipe I’ll be sharing later on (maybe tomorrow night). While there, I couldn’t help but notice fall is in full swing in the store. Not only is Halloween candy already out, but the parade of pumpkin products continues and one display inspired me to make a very satisfying breakfast. I now present:
Pumpkin Spice Swirl French Toast
This recipe is super easy to make! Here is all you will need:
- Pepperidge Farm Pumpkin Spice Swirl bread
- Ground cinnamon
- Liquid egg whites
- Nonstick spray
- Powdered sugar
- Your favorite syrup
Coat griddle pan with nonstick spray and turn burner on med-low to med heat. In a shallow bowl, pour enough liquid egg whites to submerge the slice of bread. Sprinkle with desired amount of cinnamon and stir. Dip slice of bread into eggs and place on pan. Cook each side until nice and toasty. Top toast slices with powdered sugar and desired amount of syrup. Feel free to add fruit!
See? I told you it was easy.
The bread is around for a limited time only, so be sure to snatch some up while you can. This breakfast really hit the spot!
I’m off in a few to head down to Delaware for the rest of the weekend. Tomorrow is the annual Dogfish Dash 5K/10K held at the Milton brewery and it is my favorite race of the year! I ran the 10K in 58:50 last year and hope to beat it! Have a good weekend, friends!
